Designalytics provides market research to leading brands to help them understand how their package designs are performing with consumers. We’re a fast-growing, fun startup that values versatility, open-mindedness, and skills over experience. If you’re an amazing writer who hasn't written for a business just like ours before, we’d still like to meet you.
Writing monthly email newsletters for clients in specific consumer products categories about retail and package design trends relevant to them. This includes researching topics online and curating recent articles to find the most interesting information.
For example: in the flavored malt beverages category, which brands have recently launched new package designs? Is there a growing trend toward canned alcoholic beverages? Is this being driven by sustainability, usage occasions, or something else? How does seasonality affect in-store promotions? And so on...
Proofreading a variety of client deliverables, including research reports and newsletters.

Comfortable finding and synthesizing content relevant to a specific topic and audience, and selecting the most interesting tidbits.
Able to tell a clear story—looking beyond simple facts to discern the “so what?” for a business audience and drawing connections between seemingly unrelated pieces of information (e.g., understanding how a trend in one product category might be relevant to a different category, etc.).
Confident, yet conversational writing voice (i.e., professional, but not stuffy).
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and reliably meet deadlines.
Comfortable interpreting data—and simplifying it when necessary—to tell an effective story.
