Vice President, Sales

Designalytics is looking to fill multiple roles for Vice President, Sales in the following cities: New York, Chicago, Cincinnati, and Dallas.

 

Are you a sales leader who consistently makes their number? Designalytics is searching for an experienced, overachieving sales hunter to join us as VP of Sales. The VP of Sales will exceed sales targets, educate and evangelize our solutions to the CPG industry. You will be joining a hyper-growth company where you will be responsible for penetrating and selling Fortune 100 clients to start. As your client base grows, you will build a team to support your current business requirements and revenue growth expectations.

Must-haves

  • A successful track record in exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry.
  • Knowledge of the CPG package design process is a plus.
  • An inquisitive nature, strong communication skills, and the mind to figure things out.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for opening and closing new business: driving all aspects of prospecting, pitching, proposing, and closing.

  • Exceed sales goals by driving new subscriptions and on-demand testing programs.

  • Quickly identify up-sell or cross-sell opportunities and leverage early success to expand relationships within an organization.

  • Continuously focus on expanding stakeholders in brand/marketing, design/creative, and insights at every client.

  • Confidently represent Designalytics’ data, with a comprehensive understanding of our metrics and system.

  • Expand awareness and strategically develop relationships with C-level executives.

  • Maintain daily tracking of prospecting activities and tasks, pipeline accuracy, and contact information in SalesLoft and HubSpot.

  • Proactively navigate new vendor setup processes, working with various client functions (e.g., procurement, etc.) to negotiate favorable terms.

  • Manage all aspects of negotiations and develop strategic recommendations that allow for profitable growth.

  • Work closely with Success Managers to develop client-specific plans to secure renewal and on-demand product usage.

  • Utilize Designalytics' extensive design database to add incremental value to clients through presentations on best practices, case studies, and other thought leadership content.

  • Bring a positive sense of urgency to the organization.

Requirements

  • We are looking for an analytical thinker with the “sales gene”—someone who has the drive, sense of urgency, and motivation to excel in an early stage company environment.

  • Minimum 5 - 10 years experience in B2B sales, with consistent track record of exceeding goals.

  • Extensive experience selling to senior levels within organizations.

  • Knowledge of consumer research and analytics, with the ability to understand a multitude of quantitative data sources.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and nurture client relationships and reach new stakeholders.

  • Impressive presenter—effective in virtual presentations as well as in-person.

  • Inquisitive nature and deep respect for the design discipline throughout the CPG industry.

  • Strong detail orientation with a hunger for accurate, complete data—fixing problems when identified and recognizing the value of thorough work as it relates to every client touchpoint.

  • Proven ability to maintain high accuracy and quality in a fast-paced, always-changing environment.

  • Comfortable switching gears quickly, turning on left and right sides of the brain when appropriate.

  • Strong empathy for your clients and colleagues.

  • Credible, polished, and persuasive communication skills.

  • Advanced experience with MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
