These four brands refreshed their packaging with bolder colors, more appetizing food imagery, and clearer nutrition claims. The results thoroughly impressed consumers.
Real Good Foods Chicken Breast Strips

Real Good Foods amped up the visual impact of its packaging with bold orange bands and an enhanced, more appetizing image of the chicken. The brand also updated key nutritional claims, making them easier to understand. 77% of consumers chose the new design, with one sharing, “the orange makes it stand out more,” while another added, “the product seems more real.”

Smart Ones
Category: Frozen entrées
69% of consumers chose the new Smart Ones entrées design over the old version, citing clearer nutritional callouts and a more appealing product image. One consumer noted, “It was easy to see calories, protein, and fiber.” The updated design also highlights the meal with an appetizing, close-up shot—especially the melted cheese. As another consumer shared, “The pasta looks more fresh.”

Feel Good Foods Mozzarella Sticks
Category: Frozen appetizers and snacks
Feel Good Foods made a few smart updates that achieved a higher consumer preference. An emphatic red block behind the product name improves visibility, while added front-of-pack details—like protein content and cooking instructions—give consumers the information they’re looking for. Overall, 64% of consumers chose the new look. One consumer shared, “The protein and cooking instructions would get me to grab this product.”

Totino's Pizza Rolls
Category: Frozen appetizers and snacks
Totino’s, a staple in the frozen foods aisle, gave its packaging a simple-yet-effective update. Consumers described the changes best, using words like “creative,” ”fun,” and “up-to-date.” The updated bag also makes the pizza rolls appear “crispier and more appetizing,” with one consumer sharing, “It's filled with lots of pepperoni and cheese.” Totino’s achieved a 61% consumer preference with this spiffed-up look.
